Preparing for Storage

• Are you placing your refrigerator or freezer into storage, if so you should also defrost them approximately one week beforehand.
• Ensure your washing machine and dryer are clean and dry.
• Likewise clean any outdoor or garden items well in advance.
• While you are packing and wrapping your items yourself for self storage or mobile self store, ensure that you have sufficient packing materials.  All boxes must also be labelled, so you know where to find your most important items.
• Most importantly plants, food and animals cannot be stored.  Precious items jewellery and money therefore should not be stored either.
• Ensure you wrap fragile items thoroughly in paper, bubble wrap or foam wrap for extra protection while in storage.
• Also if you are loading the storage container yourself load any items you think you may need access to at the front or on top.
• Do not forget to arrange insurance for all your belongings while they are being moved and kept in storage.  We do take exceptional care of your goods, however, for your peace of mind, we offer a comprehensive transit and storage insurance.
